Prior Thoughts: When I first heard of this novel, I had no idea “Grey” was the name of a character. The only thing people kept telling me was,” you’ve gotta read this.” I reluctantly made this purchase, and put it off to the side for quite some time. The more I heard about this book, the more intrigued I became. So, I began reading it, then quickly put it back on the shelf after about a page or two. Sorry, if I can’t get passed the first two pages, I usually place it back on my shelf or not even bother to buy it at a bookstore. I should’ve known it would have been just as bad with the film.

After the film:
First off, I’m SO GLAD I didn’t spend a penny on this piece of crap thanks to a friend who bought the tickets. I was so disappointed with this film. I honestly don’t see HOW it grossed as much as it did. Here’s what was wrong with it:
– The acting was just terrible and unrealistic.
– Christian Grey was better looking when he didn’t open his mouth.
– This was not romance but an abusive relationship which I REFUSE to support. Seriously? This dude was practically stalking her. Umm…call 911? He abused her mentally, emotionally, and physically. Am I the only one that sees that wrong? I know I’m not.
– The “sex” scenes were NOT sexy at all. AT ALL
– This man was oppressing this poor woman who still didn’t even know what she wanted. LEAVE THE GIRL ALONE.
– It was just poorly written. Horribly.
– THIS MOVIE JUST SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can honestly say this was one of the WORST films I’ve seen to date, and I’d like to think that I’ve seen my fair share of movies.
Rating: 0/5
If I could give it any lower, I would. Don’t waste your time on this movie. The following day, my sister and I went to see John Wick and LOVED IT right after the first 10 minutes, why? BECAUSE THERE WAS ACTUAL ACTING INVOLVED! Dakota Johnson, do us all a favor and go back to acting school. NOW. This movie was 50 shades of crap. Pure crap.
